City of Lynden Government

Our Brokers met recently with,  Mayor Scott Korthuis, from the City of Lynden.  It was an informative meeting regarding economics, encouragement of business growth, and building on the East side of Lynden. 

The mayor is the Chief Executive Officer of the city, and also chairs the council meetings.  The mayor is not a council member, but can vote in some special circumstances. 
 
The City Council consists of 7 council members, each elected to a 4 year term.
